Lets talk about the inlaws

The latest from the father in law, this was a couple weeks ago, when TT was about 5-6 weeks.

FIL: "Are you feeding her cereal yet?"
Me: "No, she's a little too young for that, she won't start solids until about 4-5 months."
FIL: "Oh, we started Joey on cereal when he was two or three weeks old."

These are the same people who make fun of me for breastfeeding and often treat me like I'm the one who is ignorant. The same people who didn't realize that I went back to school right away (Yes, I'm a grad student, it's a job and I would like to keep that and leave here with my Master's) The same people who are just waiting for me to hop on a plane with a five year old and a two month old and leave my husband behind, cause that sounds like fun. The same people who fail to realize that I AM A FREAKING SCIENTIST, if fact a biologist! Sorry for the yelling.
They also spoiled HT over Christmas and her birthday (which is the very beginning of January). It seems to be taking longer to get her back to normal after every spoiling event. I have tried to tell them no, but there is no end to the spoiling. Now she's being super brat with no end in sight. Ugh. My grandmother told me stories of how she was lucky to get an orange for Christmas. I was their only grandchild and I got one gift from them at Christmas and my birthday. That is the family I grew up in, not the super spoiled world they live in. I tell MIL she gets in trouble at school for rolling her eyes at the teacher (she learned that last summer when she was visiting them) and her response "not my little angel." Gahh. I really am at wits end.

Well that's all I have in me for today, I'm sure that this will be a regular section. I would love to hear stories about things your parents or in laws have done or said.
